What's new in VBUC 9.2?

Today we released the Visual Basic Upgrade Companion version 9.2 for general availability. You can download a trial version here.
With this release we have focused on improving the user experience, recognizing that the VBUC offers lots of options for your migration and the user interface hasn't been as intuitive as we'd like. So our UX team spent some time with customers and got thoughtful about how to help users understand the steps and process they need to use the tool.
Some of the changes might seem trivial, like moving the "Confirm" button on migration options from the top to the bottom of the screen, but like many design decisions, sometimes even a subtle change can have a big impact. Other changes are more obvious, like providing additional information inside the tool to guide users through the steps post-migration.
Finally, in addition to the usual progress in reducing post-migration manual work via additional automation, we've continued to increase our support for .NET Core, adding mappings for RDO to .NET 5. RDO was a very popular database access library for VB6 developers, and our support in 9.2 makes it far easier for projects that rely on RDO to move off VB6 and get to .NET Core.
Enjoy.
