Time to Mobilize
Mobilize.Net migration technology gets your application 95% of the way to a finished VB.NET or C# code base running on Windows 7/8/10 at a fraction of the cost of a manual rewrite.
Mobilize.Net migration software uses the same principles as modern compilers to scan, analyze, and understand legacy source code. Only true semantic source code analysis (invented by Mobilize.Net) can yield true native migrated code.
Windows 10 is now the only truly supported Microsoft OS. Microsoft stopped all support for Windows XP on April 8, 2014. Security vulnerabilities and new-found bugs are no longer addressed. No device driver updates are available; no new hardware certifications.
Windows 7 is out of support since January, 2020. Windows 8.x was a problem child for Microsoft, which is why they pushed mandatory updates to Windows 10. Windows XP applications (Win32/.NET 1.1) can be run on Windows 7+ in compatibility mode, but this also has known vulnerabilities.
The only safe solution is migrating your applications to .NET 3.5 or later for Windows 10 deployment.
