.NET Conf Technical Treasure Hunt Rules
As part of .NET Conf 2019, viewers have an opportunity to participate in a Technical Treasure Hunt where they are given clues to 10 different questions. Each person who answers all 10 questions correctly will receive a gift card to the .NET Foundation Store and will be entered into a drawing to win one of 10 prizes.
Contest Hours
The .NET Conf Technical Treasure Hunt will begin on Monday, September 23 immediately following the .NET Conf Keynote and will end at 4 a.m. PT on Wednesday, September 25 at the second CodeParty. Need not be present to win.
Where do you find the clues?
Clues are available at https://www.dotnetconf.net/party. Additional clues will also be broadcast throughout .NET Conf so be sure to stay tuned throughout!
What do you do once you feel you have a correct answer?
You will whisper your answer to the bot in the twitch.tv/visualstudio chat room. To whisper an answer, simply type /w thedotnetbot into the chat. Enter only your answer to the clue.
As an example, if the answer to the first clue is 87, you would type:
/w thedotnetbot 87
The bot will confirm the correct answer or tell you to try again. You do not have to provide the answers in the same order the clues were delivered. You will need a free twitch.tv account to play.
How many clues are there?
There will be 10 clues with 10 corresponding answers. Clues will come from Contrast Security, DevExpress, DocuSign, Gnostice, LEADTOOLS, Mobilize.Net, PreEmptive Solutions, Progress, and Twilio.
How and what do you win?
Everyone who answers all 10 questions correctly and whispers them to the twitch.tv/visualstudio thedotnetbot within the timeframe defined above will receive a gift card to the .NET Foundation Store.
Additionally, each person who answers all 10 questions correctly and whispers them to the twitch.tv/visualstudio thedotnetbot within the timeframe defined above will be entered to win one of 10 prizes. Winners will be selected at random and will be notified via the twitch.tv/visualstudio channel. Winners will also be announced live at 4 a.m. PT on Wednesday, September 25 at the second CodeParty.
Prizes will be provided by and fulfilled by Contrast Security, DevExpress, DocuSign, Gnostice, LEADTOOLS, Mobilize.Net, PreEmptive Solutions, Progress, and Twilio.

- ELIGIBILITY. The .NET Conf “Technical Treasure Hunt” (the “Promotion”) is open to .NET Conf viewers who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of legal majority in his or her state or jurisdiction of primary residence at the time of submission (whichever is older) with access to the Internet. The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. The Promotion is void wherever it may be prohibited or restricted by law. Participants must NOT be under any contractual or other legal obligation that would conflict with this Promotion or these Official Rules.
- ENTRY PERIOD. The Promotion will begin on Monday, September 23, 2019 immediately following the .NET Conf opening keynote and end on Wednesday, September 25 at 4:00 AM PT (the “Promotion Period”).
- ENTRY. To enter the Promotion, you must answer all 10 questions correctly and whisper them to thedotnetbot in the twitch.tv chat room. After you complete this, you will be automatically entered into the Promotion (your “Entry”). By entering the Promotion, you acknowledge your consent to receive communication from companies who provided the clues and their affiliates. You may unsubscribe from these marketing communications at any time via the links found in the communication itself.
- ODDS OF WINNING.The odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received.
- PRIZE: Any prize details not specified above will be determined by the companies providing the prizes in their sole discretion. No cash or other substitution is allowed except by the companies providing the prizes, who may substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value, as determined by the company in its sole discretion. The Prize is not redeemable for cash and is non-transferrable, except to a surviving spouse residing in the same household.
- NOTIFICATION AND REQUIREMENT OF WINNER.Winners will be announced during .NET Conf on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at or after 4:00 a.m. PT. Winners will also be contacted via their twitch.tv handle. If Prize notification is returned as non-deliverable, or if a Winner is found not to be eligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, disqualification will result and an alternate Winner may be selected. All taxes, including federal, state and local taxes, and other expenses related to accepting and/or using the Prize not listed in these Official Rules, are the sole responsibility of the Winner. The Winner will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding the ownership of the Prize.
